Club history
The Latvian Hunting Dog Club, or LMSK, is an organization that brings together hunting dog owners, breeders, and hunting cynology enthusiasts in Latvia. The club’s activities are closely linked to the promotion of hunting dog breeds, the preservation of working qualities, and the development of hunting cynology traditions.
Over the years, the club has become an important platform for hunting dog owners and professionals, organizing specialized shows, working tests, blood-tracking competitions, field trials, and other cynological events. LMSK works actively with the Latvian Kennel Federation and international cynological organizations, promoting high standards of breed quality and working ability.
Throughout the club’s activities, special attention has been paid to the practical training of hunting dogs and the preservation of working instincts. The regularly organized tests and competitions help maintain and develop the working quality of hunting dogs, while at the same time promoting responsible dog breeding and training in Latvia.
Today, LMSK continues to develop hunting cynology traditions, bringing together enthusiasts of various hunting breeds and providing the opportunity for both experienced specialists and new dog owners to take part in the club’s activities, shows, and training. The club actively promotes hunting dog culture and fosters the development of professional cynology in Latvia.
